Yes. Beginning therapy is a meaningful step, and finding the right fit between therapist and client is important. The first step is to schedule a brief phone consultation, where we can discuss what you’re looking for, answer any questions, and see if we might be a good fit.
Consider whether you have a private space for your video sessions. Being able to speak openly, without concern about being overheard, is important. Many people find that virtual sessions fit well into a busy schedule and eliminate commuting time. While this is a personal preference, I currently offer virtual sessions only.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and straightforward. I strive to create a supportive space while also gently challenging clients, when they’re ready, to take steps toward meaningful change. I draw from evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which focuses on reframing unhelpful thought patterns. I also incorporate education on the brain-body connection and practical strategies to help regulate the nervous system and manage anxiety.
That’s completely normal—and something many clients experience. Some people come to sessions with a clear focus, while others aren’t quite sure what’s bothering them or where to start. If you’re feeling stuck, I’ll help guide the process. Together, we can explore what’s coming up for you, identify patterns or underlying concerns, and build a clearer understanding of your experiences. You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin.
Yes. I work with adults on the autism spectrum, including those diagnosed later in life. With growing awareness of autism, many individuals are receiving diagnoses in adulthood. While this can feel overwhelming, it can also lead to a deeper sense of self-understanding. I recognize the complexity of this process and provide supportive, individualized care as you navigate it.
Yes. I use a practical, supportive approach when working with adults with ADHD. Together, we’ll better understand how your brain works and develop strategies to support organization, time management, and follow-through. My work draws from evidence-based approaches like CBT, along with skills-based and mindfulness strategies to reduce overwhelm and improve daily functioning.
Yes. I support parents navigating stress, burnout, and the transition to parenthood, as well as balancing their own needs with caregiving responsibilities. When your children are young many people say things like, "It goes so fast" or "You're going to miss this some day." Although well-intentioned, these comments can feel dismissive when you're struggling with the realities of parenthood. It's okay to say, "This is hard" or "I wish I had more time for myself."
Yes. I am in-network with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ and Aetna. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
